At Benchmark, we are proud of the rings that we produce and stand by our quality which is why we include a Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty for the lifetime of most of our rings. If your registered ring ever needs to be resized or refinished, the Lifetime Guarantee will take care of this. In the event that material has to be added to complete the sizing process you will only be charged for the metal or stones that must be added. There may also be repair charges assessed dependent on the repair service that is requested. This will be determined by your retailer or trained professional at the time of your ring's assessment.
Shipping/service charges are the consumer/retailer’s responsibility. Benchmark reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without notice, and/or refuse any registration.
The Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, scratching, discoloration due to harsh chemicals, prong and sidewall over time, excessive damages, prong catching and bending due to long term wear.
All Benchmark rings must be registered within 30 days of purchase, or the Guarantee is null and void.
Benchmark’s Lifetime Guarantee does not cover a ring that has been purchased in the incorrect finger size. Including if the finger size changes between purchase and delivery of ring.
Benchmark must do the work on any size adjustment over 1⁄4 size in order to maintain your Lifetime Guarantee.
All bands can only be eligible for resizing after 60 days of actual wear and due to a true finger size change.
Benchmark’s Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty is only available to the original purchaser. The warranty CANNOT be transferred. Any third-party alterations, maintenance, repair, or sizing to a band will automatically void the warranty. Chipped or missing stones are only covered by Benchmark during the first 60 days of actual wear.
Any damage, outside of normal wear and tear, will void the LTG.
Rolling rings and Engagement rings are not supported by the Lifetime Guarantee. Also, any customized styles or finger sizes are not supported.
Please note: Rings purchased through an online retailer other than Benchmarkrings.com are not eligible for the Benchmark Lifetime Guarantee. Please get with your online retailer for their service and guarantee options.
If you do happen to receive a ring that experiences damage due to manufacturing, please contact our customer service team so we can get it taken care of as soon as possible. We will have you send your ring in to be evaluated and assessed for damages. Should a warrantied issue be present, Benchmark will repair or replace the item free of charge. If the damages to the item are not covered under the Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty, a customer service representative will contact you with an estimated cost to repair the damages and for approval to continue with the repairs. If the customer chooses not to have the item repaired, it will be shipped back to the customer in the same condition it was received.
Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:
-The discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, make-up, immersion in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.
-Precious metals, and especially prongs, wear down over time and may require restoration work as part of normal wear.
-Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or normal damage, allowing a gemstone to fall out. The loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or from other damage.
