Customer Service

We offer free FedEx Saver shipping on all contiguous U.S. orders. The time from order to delivery will depend on the item purchased but please expect 7-10 business days for order processing. Made To Order, engraved, and personalized rings may take an additional 2-3 business days. All orders are shipped via FedEx and are scheduled to arrive on or before the expected delivery date shown in the shipping confirmation email that you will receive once you have purchased an item and it has been shipped.

Currently, we offer international shipping to the UK and Australia. Shipping within the UK typically takes around 3-5 business days, and Australia takes 8-9 business days; however, this can change due to customs, carrier delays, weather, etc. Please note that the time from order to delivery will depend on the item purchased, but please expect 7-10 business days for order processing. Made to Order, engraved, and personalized rings may take an additional 2-3 business days to process before being shipped. All orders require a signature upon delivery.

For the protection of your item and to ensure it arrives to you safely, we insure all of our items. We also require that packages be delivered to a business or home address and require a signature upon delivery. We do not ship to P.O. Boxes. While we strive to deliver your item to you in a timely fashion, there are some things that are out of our control. Please be mindful of delays due to inclement weather conditions, carrier delays, and incorrect addresses. We are unable to intercept a package once it has been shipped so be sure to double check your shipping address! 

We do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays, and U.S. holidays. FedEx does not count Saturday or Sunday as shipping days.

*FedEx Standard Overnight® offers next business day delivery by 3 p.m. to most U.S. addresses, delivery by 8 p.m. to residences. Monday-Friday, with Saturday pickup available in many areas for an extra fee. Available to and from all 50 states, but not all areas of Alaska and Hawaii.
*FedEx Priority Overnight® offers next business day delivery by 10:30 a.m. to most U.S. addresses, delivery by 5 p.m. to remote areas, and delivery by 1:30 p.m. on Saturdays. Monday-Friday, with Saturday pickup available in many areas for an extra fee.

Return for Refund

If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, we will gladly issue a refund for certain items returned within 35 days of the order date. Returns must be initiated by 11:59pm on the 35th day. We will provide you with a return shipping label upon approving your refund request. Once we have received and assessed your item, you can expect a refund within 1-2 weeks.

If you are returning a ring from our Ammara Stone or Benchmark collections and you received a free ring as part of our Free Ring Program, the free ring must also be returned. If the item is not included in your return, the retail price of the free ring will be deducted from your refund.

If you chose to do an In-Store Pick Up for your order, please DO NOT return the item to your pick up retailer. 

If you purchased a Benchmark ring from one of our retailers, you must return your item to that retailer. Please note that each retailer has their own return policy and you will need to adhere to their policy.

Keep in mind:

  • There is a $45 processing fee for returned items purchased through
  • There is a $70 processing fee for returned engraved items purchased through 
  • "Made To Order" rings are not eligible for a return for refund
  • The 35 day eligibility begins on the day that the order is placed. 
  • Items requested to be returned after 35 days of the purchase date will NOT be accepted for return for refund. 
  • All returned items must be in their original, unworn condition and include all documentation. We reserve the right to deny any items that do not meet our standards after an assessment. If the item is damaged, we will deduct up to 35% of the purchase price of the item from your refund.
  • If the ring you are returning came with a free ring, the free ring must also be returned. If the free ring is not returned, the retail price of the free ring will be deducted from your refund amount.
    • International orders are not eligible for return/refund.

Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty 


The Benchmark Lifetime Guarantee ensures that your Benchmark ring is covered from any manufacturing defects. Benchmark’s rings are proudly manufactured in the U.S.A and have been for over 40 years.  Manufacturing defects can occur (although rarely) within metals/materials and or stones.  If your ring is registered and you have any issues related to manufacturing, Benchmark will repair or replace your ring free of charge.  If your registered ring ever needs to be resized, refinished and or repaired (due to normal wear) there may be service fees assessed depending on the service type requested. This will be determined by your retailer at the time of your ring's assessment.

Shipping/service charges are the consumer’s/retailer’s responsibility.

Benchmark reserves the right to modify this policy at any time without notice, and/or refuse any registration.

If you do happen to receive a ring that experiences damage due to manufacturing, please contact our customer service team so we can get it taken care of as soon as possible. We will have you send your ring in to be evaluated and assessed for damages. Should a warrantied issue be present, Benchmark will repair or replace the item free of charge. If the damages to the item are not covered under the Lifetime Manufacturer Warranty, a customer service representative will contact you with an estimated cost to repair the damages and for approval to continue with the repairs. If the customer chooses not to have the item repaired, it will be shipped back to the customer in the same condition it was received.

Some examples of common jewelry issues that would not be considered manufacturing defects include:

-The discoloration of precious metals caused by chemicals, make-up, immersion in pools and hot tubs, or bathing.

-Precious metals, and especially prongs, wear down over time and may require restoration work as part of normal wear.

-Prongs catching, wearing out, or bending over time due to everyday wear or normal damage, allowing a gemstone to fall out. The loss of a gemstone caused by damage from everyday wear or from other damage.

How To Find Your Ring Size


Getting the right size ring can be tough, but we are here to help! Here are our top 5 recommendations on how to find your accurate size.

METHOD 1 (most accurate):
Order our FREE ring sizing kit with the purchase of a ring to get the most accurate size. When adding a ring to your bag you will be asked if you'd like to receive a sizing kit, click "Order Ring Sizing Kit" and one will be added to your bag along with the pending size ring. We will send you a ring sizing kit after placing the order followed up by an email asking for your size. 

Once you receive the kit, pop out the sizers and choose one that fits snugly. You want to choose a ring that fits over the knuckle but is tight enough that it won’t slip off your finger too easily. Your finger size fluctuates throughout the day so be sure to measure your finger multiple times throughout the day.  Keep in mind if you are not used to wearing a ring it may feel tight at first, so we recommend wearing the sizer for a couple hours to get a sense of how it feels.


You can also print out our Ring Size Guide for free and get an idea of your finger size that way. Before printing, be sure that you are printing on U.S. Letter paper and that it is scaled to 100%. Uncheck any boxes that say “Fit to Page” or anything similar. Take an existing ring that you already have (that fits the correct finger exactly) and place it over the circles until you find one that matches the inside of your ring.

You can create your own ring sizer by cutting out the template on our Ring Size Guide. Wrap the ruler around your finger at the base, and pull the tapered end through. We also recommend measuring your knuckle to ensure that your ring will fit comfortably. You will want to choose a size that fits over your knuckle but doesn’t slip off too easily.

Requesting A Service

At Benchmark, we understand that your ring size can fluctuate (especially once you’re happily married)! All services will incur a $45 shipping and handling charge. If the ring has been worn or is not in its original condition, additional sizing and refinish fees will be assessed and will vary depending on the level of work that needs to be done. 

Engraved rings will incur an additional $25 re-engraving fee for all resizes.

Please be aware that your new ring may not look ‘exactly’ like the original; minor variations may occur depending on the type of work that needs to be done. Since the entire ring could be replaced, you may not receive your exact ring back. 

All “Made To Order” rings will incur up to an additional 35% service fee on top of the shipping and handling. The exact fee percentage will be determined on an item-by-item basis.

Steps for a service:

  1.  Head over to our Returns and Services page and choose “Request A Service”.

  2. Enter your Order Number and the email address associated with the purchase.

  3. Select the item you would like to have serviced. Upload up to 3 photos and give us some details of your request. If you are needing a resize, you will be prompted to input your correct size. 

  4. Once submitted, a customer service representative will review your request and will be in touch with you during our regular business hours (Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5pm CST). Additional charges may be needed depending on the scope of the work required.

  5. After approval, you will receive a payment request. Once we have received payment, you will receive a packing slip and will send the item to us.

  6. Once we receive your item, one of our trained professionals will do an assessment of your ring. If the state of the ring does not match what was previously discussed, additional charges may apply. 

  7. After final approval, we will begin the work on your ring. You can expect an email within 6-8 business days confirming your work has been completed. This email will also include a tracking number.
